Life on Earth

1216846018-hr-207iThe Beginning

Life and evolution of life on earth will remain a quest for the time intelligence is available in life. Centuries have passed and research status has not yet changed from \”ongoing\”. Occassionaly, in every decades there are some group of scientists claim to have \”Debunked\” the evolution process but the following subsequent researches have denied and proposed new theories.

Its is amazing how numerous different varieties of life form exists on earth (and elsewhere?). How every different life form is different and unique in its own virtue of design. While scientists have created a rift among different sets of ideas – Evolution ? Nature selection ? Intelligent Design ? Special creation ? I am glad no-one has ever been able to prove one theory superior over the other. But now it time to give a serious thought on – Why life ? rather than \”How life?\” or \”when life?\”. Is this subject is so sensitive and delicate, that we overlook this on purpose?

The variety of species available in life forms is so vast and perfect – right from single sensed to 5 sense organisms, weeds to trees, virus to humans. They are differnt in all form, shape, color, mobility, senses, virtues, characteristics. Each organism is smart and has a superintelligent and powerful self-mechanism in itself which is self regulatory and self-sustain in nature. Each organism small or large by far is the best design of a life. Complexity as a virtue of nature, the modern science has failed to decode or replicate.

Why life ?

Infinite galaxies exists and we barely know our own solar system. Scientist periodically tend to find a new planet and disregard the old ones and still trillions worth $$ amount has been pumped in on researching life on planets with no possiblies found yet. Then why Earth (atleast among our solar system) ? It is hard to believe the proposed theory that life evolved with condensation of hot earth surfaces causing chemicals to interact magically causing life initiation from lower microbial organisms to evolve upto \’intelligent\’ human species. There must be life force \”soul\” to start these rumbled chemicals into a sophisticated running engine of life. If chemical reactions and hormones and enzymes were responsible for sustaining life then who commands them or controls them and assigns what needs to be done when and why?

From what I look at is every species has a specific role to play on this earth. Even Earth has its on self-sustaining mechanism. Let it be cleaning water, food chain, controling atmospheric chemicals, etc that would be required to sustain the life. Almost gives a feeling that Earth is also protecting life. Is there a symbiotic relationship required between earth and life ? HELL YEAH… no doubt about it. Then what is the role Human beings need to play ? What is our purpose of life as human ?

Purpose ?

Never ever realized bee\’s purpose of existence and its role in sustaining nature. Bees are hated and ridculed to its stings. But if bees are wiped off from earth will we survive without the pollinations and cross pollination unintentionally done by bees ? There would be a huge food crisis followed by reduction in oxygen/ozone etc. Even simple organism like termites or similar ones will make sure that things are cleaned out and provides space for new. Imagine since past 5-6000 years if all the dead plants/animals/huts/furniture was not cleaned out by the nature\’s cleaning mechanism ! Yes, thats right… each and every organism plays some role knowingly or unknowingly to sustain and support nature. But I am still not able to figure out why Human ? What is our purpose ? Why were we considered for being most superior or all species and provided with all 5 sense and an under-developed 6th sense with ability to think, communicate, etc.

Most surprizing fact is, none of the organism other than human beings have been found killing one another in the same family of spicies for no rhyme or reason. May be thats the purpose of being Human.. we must be chosen by the school of nature to give an example to other organisms of what-not-to-be. \”The Devils\” in nature in the \’religion\’ of rest of the species, that gets them doing what they are doing – Good.

India Poised ?

India: A country with rising economy, creating promised hopes, striving youth and triumph of trust
India: A country with lots of dismays and illusions, myths and manifestations struggles and giggles

Poised: marked by balance or equilibrium and readiness for action; in full control

I always believed, defining India is impossible. I love India for what it is rather than what it isn\’t. Times of India is on a new mission to market the Brand India. Motive is to energize and pump-up the resting youthful souls and vigorize the success movement. The whole aura of the campaign seems to be done with honesty and I feel it has charmed quite well. The campaign paves even a greater pace when an icon like Amitabh Bachchan comes right in front of you and talks directly into your heart with his sheer ravishing resonant voice. It just makes you feel – THATS IT! India is the world I have always been looking for. Even the world outside India now believes that the world inside India has unleashed its powers. \”India is poised\”

But somehow I feel cheated. Thanks to Times of India for making me hear what I always wanted to hear. Marketing strategies are no different, the product marketed here is now a COUNTRY. A part of me wanted to listen to more of it. Why not ? It had my favorite personalities of all time, Amitabh Bachchan, who was convincing me that Superpower India is REAL. The anthem talks about the existance of Bullish economy as well as the derogatorily stubborn cash flow. It conveys precisely that even though there are unsuccessfull attempts, victory seems to be just few miles away. While the other part of me is still skeptic and unconvinced, not being a pessimist; but it questions its credibility to lure truth. Do we really need this NOW ? Isn\’t it too early?

The Fast Facts:

It is the daring of India which had its economy growing at 9.2 percent as latest count. It is an India which has actually reduced the number of absolute poor — that is, living on less than a dollar a day — by 120 million in about a decade to around 260 million now. It is an India which, is believed likely to surpass the US economy in size in fifty years to become the world’s second largest economy after China

Concurrently, education is a key area where we are inadequate in performance, despite the full blown hype about the IITs and IIMs being among the world’s best. Not only is primary education in a major mess, our universities figure nowhere in the top league of the world’s institutions of higher learning. Our roads, ports and power systems have a long way to go before they are truly supportive of growth instead of being hindrances. And our public services, which need radical reform, continues to plunge down because no one in the educated middle and upper classes actually depend on them. The poor take the hit.

India may have the smartest Prime Minister and over qualified President to sustain the wisely engineered progress. But still the inflation has rose significantly to encourage domestic instability. Rising cases of debted farmers commiting suicide, earning teenagers disowning their parents; girls raped by police and citizens raped by deceitful media are yet not still under consideration. With the further welcoming of Giants like Reliance and Walmart into Indian retail market it can be expected to break the spines of millions of other small scale business owners. Any plans doctored for their stability so far ?

Words flowing from deep-rooted sesitivity of the poet, Masterly rendered by the born actor; in his deep, resonant voice is definitely creating the precise impact. But these sights dampen my spirit. We are proud of our achievements but are we doing enough as citizens to lessen this disparity?

India may be poised, but I want my India to be Independently Stabilized and not a divided India.

Youth for Equality: Videos and Updates

Reservation is eating up the great minds of India, It may have been good 45 years back but it\’s nothing but the dirty politics now, inviting brain drain and worsening unemployment.

There has been protests shown almost in every part of India, some gone wild while some left un-heard. But the best part of the whole situation is, the YOUTH has turned into a MASS !

Check out the videos(though old, but worth it for those who haven\’t see them)

This is something that everyone should see. HRD minister Mr. Arjun Singh has no clue if the 49.5% reservation will work or not. He has no clue what are the present statistical data of the reservation. He has no clue what would be the repercussions. He has no clue or action plan for implementation.  He has no clue how to tackle the sensitivity of the issue.

His most intelligent answer to almost all the questions was – \”I DON\’T KNOW\”

OBC Reservation: Knowledge is Powerless !

Just imagine this scenario:
Year 2020.

Dad: Show me your report card son.
Son: (with smiling face): Here it is daddy.
Dad: (frowned): WHATT ???? (yells and calls for the kid’s mom)
What happened? Why are you yelling ?

(Dad passing on the report card to Mom, with a sight of disgrace on his face.)

Mom: Hey Bhagwaan (Oh God)! How did this happen? What will we do now ? (she is in shock !)
Son: Mommy ? Pappa ? What happened ? (lil kid with all the curiosity and surprised to core)
Dad: Who told you to get 98% and top the class ? (looks angry)
Mom: Honey, its ok, cool down ! I would call our TV cable guy and get some movie and cartoon network channels so that he can spend time on TV. How about buying him X-box and lots of games? He wont study and hopefully if God and luck is with us, he wont get high on merit in future.
Dad: Its so depressing you know r8? Remember when I got 98% in JEE, and still couldn’t get into IIT, I was so much depressed. I wished my DAD was OBC!

(Screen play: Myself)

This scenario is not so far from reality. Though seems little bit exaggerated, but hold on, is 49.5% reservation for OBC also not too much ?

Such cheap political strategies are so familiar, I am not shocked. But what concerns me the most and may be its more like a nightmare feel to me is that what about FUTURE ? My future, your future and the future generations to come! With India going-to-be a global power within the next few decades (that I strongly believe) we desperately need talented brains that can present a secured future to India as visioners. By further extending quota system into higher educational system we are restricting not only bright talent but also the growth of the country as whole. Not surprising then, do we see Indians leaving the country and becoming successful elsewhere in the world.

India has globally created an image as worlds most successful democratic and free nation. Democracy by all means sounds a perfect synonym for equality. Then why reservations and divide the youth? Reservation is the worst thing a country can do. India and China (our direct competitor I believe, and a threat) produces 6 times more engineers and scientist. Unlike India, majority of leaders in China and Japan are engineers or atleast well educated people, and not bunch of illiterates (Lalu) or bandits (Phoolandevi). Giving seats to SC is the worst things India can do. It is already so high. 22.5% is really high. Making it 49.5% means students with the best grades won\’t be able to get in IIT, IIM, AIIMS (the core to Indian knowledge hub ), etc. We can understand 5% reservations, but 49.5%? Intolerable !!! India is doing great, second to China in growth but this move will put India almost at the bottom in next 10 to 15 years.

Barkha Dutt (From NDTV): Reservations have become a joke. We all know the statistics. More than 80 per cent of Dalit students never make it past Class X; more than 80 per cent of the reserved seats in vocational institutes remain unused; and in engineering colleges it\’s even worse — more than 90 per cent of seats in the reserved category just lie empty. (Source: NDTV news )

I don’t have any grudge or hatred towards the OBC’s, but the government’s decision has given a spiketo discrimination. As a citizen of India everyone has equal rights to dream. Reservation in education is just killing those dreams of millions aspiring.

Any idea why not 49.5% reservation in our Defense?

I have full hopes, faith, sympathy and prayers for the protesters. May God give them all the strengths to fight strong and smart. Amen !

Gandhi or Gandhism ??

Yesterday, I got the video CD of the, so-called-hyped marathi stage show \”Me Nathuram Godse Boltoy\” (I, Nathuram Godse, am speaking). Nathuram, the alleged killer of The Father of The Nation (only India\’s, thankfully) is the key character of the complete 2 hr play. He narrates his own story and describes his thought process which lead him to take the decision to kill Gandhi !

I had heard a lot about this stage show, had even read about the story but never ever got a chance to see it (thanks to our biggest democracy for banning this one !). Well, we dont like to create \’controversies\’ and thats not it, we really dont like to see people appreciating the slighest efforts to show the other side of Gandhi\’s assassination ?  If I were to rate this play, I would have surely rated this 10/10. I dont have the slightest doubt about why this play was in soooo much demand it was really worth it.

The play is superb, the script is very well developed, characters have performed very effectively and above all, it looks as if the producer/director did his homework. I really appreciate their guts to put up a topic which was naturally going to storm the nation. Afterall, they had to show something so effective, that can it can pierce into the hearts of the viewers who have been used to read/listen to the monotonous \”gandhi is great\” literatures.

Play is basically very balanced. It was definitely one of the finest way of showing the Godse sentiments and expression one can ever think of ! The script was quite unbiased and it probably didn\’t show any Hindu-Muslim hatred in Godse\’s mind. Also there wasn\’t enought hatred shown for Gandhi too ! The Play starts with Nathuram Godse comparing the similarities of  his way of living with that of  Gandhi\’s, and these similarities between them which apparently were the same points for being different from Gandhi. There are some scenes where Godse describes his state of mind and his reactions to it.  He gives a clear impression on the viewer that \”i-am-not-a-maniac\” and his motive for killing Gandhi had a perfect and valid justification.

Gandhi was a person who had been a very powerful person, capable of influencing the masses. His strenght was within him and he was capable of developing that strenght in everyone. I have met people who are hardcore anti-gandhi who think that India could have achieved Independence quite before 1947 if there was no Gandhi. But I doubt it. I am not a big follower of Gandhi and his Gandhian ways but I really admire his HUGE efforts in bringing India closer during the time of crisis. He was a man with influence. Probably he could have been a great Saint, but as a Politician Gandhi had failed. The more he tried to peep into politics, India suffered.

1. Gandhi \”selecting\” Nehru and not Sardar Patel to lead the Independent India

2. Gandhi\’s decision to agree to India-Pakistan partition, which could have been easily avoided.

India got freedom from Britishers, for which Hindu\’s Muslims had fought togther. Then why a seperate \”muslim nation\” ? Did Bhagat Singh fight for Free Punjab ? Did Bose fight for Free Bengal ? Then why the idea of partition ? If Gandhi was declared as \”father of nation\” after independence, then why is Jinnah considered \”father of nation\” in Pakistan after the partition ? And yeah, wasn\’t Gandhi a believer of democratic country ? Then why was he supporting the idea of Muslim country ??…. hmm.. well…… thats the reason why they say \”gandhi is great\”… u never know !! Well, enough of sarcasm.. lets move forward.

3. Giving 55,00,00,000 (55 crore) Rs. to the newly seperated Pakistan as an help.

Gandhi went on hunger strike for making the parliament agreeing to this ! What ?? Hunger strike ?? Like threatening Indian govt for giving money to Pakistan ?? Yeah, isn\’t it surprizing ? Well, as a matter of fact, India wasn\’t rich enough to develop itself but generous enough to help the neighbouring country. Hmm.. thats interesting ! Wasn\’t that money suppose to go for the Jawans (soldiers) securing the northern borders? Wasnt that money needed to save ourself from the Chinese infiltration threats ? Yeah.. but thats not being Gandhi ! One has to be generous enough to give his other cheek if someone slaps on one ! And thats what he did..  Gandhi indeed was Great… ha ha ha

Nathuram thought, that if Gandhi keeps taking such wrong decisions after the independence, future generation will hate him for what wrong he did rather than loving him for what he did right ! And being the biggest followers of Gandhi, he would hate to see people cursing him in future… so…. HE stopped HIM !

And yes, there was no \”Hey Ram\”… it was just \”AAh\” … !!

Who knows the truth ??

If you haven\’t yet seen this play……………………………. Go for it !
